Honesty is the crown of all virtue. Without it, everything is doomed to be ineffective. It is highly necessary for every sphere of our life. It is an essential quality a person should possess if he or she wants to lead a life of a pious or good man; it is highly necessary if we want to set up a good, healthy and transparent society. He is an honest man who keeps himself free from all the vices and evil deeds. An honest person speaks only what the truth is; he engages himself in good deeds at all times. It is true that becoming an honest man requires courage and boldness as being honest may sometimes be difficult. But an honest and truthful person does not care for what may happen by staying with the truth. Therefore, good things can be expected from them. On the other hand, dishonest people are a thorn to society. In order to fulfill their desire, they can do anything. Nobody believes them. Therefore, an atmosphere of mistrust, fear, and doubt prevails in society. This atmosphere cannot lead to a healthy and transparent society. So, the importance of honesty is huge in order to establish a good, healthy, and transparent society. A society cannot be good if its members are not honest. And peace disappears from society. It is a kind of society where might make the right; It would be a hectic society. Similarly, how can a state or nation prosper if its officials are not honest? It simply spoils the government’s every effort for development. So, every society or state badly needs more honest people.
