Rohit, Dhaka, 17 December: Kanchkura University College observed the nation’s 50th Victory Day yesterday with due pride, dignity and respect through the activity was limited to the virtual program following the direction of the government. 

On this occasion, the authority decorated the campus beautifully with flowers, flags, and festoons. All the teachers along with some members of the governing body were present. Students attended the program virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, no stage was required to be set up. The program was arranged in one of the teachers' rooms. The seats for the teachers and members of the governing body were arranged to maintain physical distancing. Our respected principal, Matlab Hossain sir, presided over the event. All the speakers recalled our valiant sons and daughters, who fought for victory under the leadership of the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and paid tribute to them. The speakers also gave great emphasis on spreading the spirit of victory in every corner of society. They all said that this purpose would be successful if our educational institutions could instill such spirit and ideal in the minds of our students. After the discussion, the principal sir declared the names of some students who took part in an essay writing competition titled "Our Victory Day" and won the competition.
