Country and city life are the two modes of life. Both have advantages and disadvantages. Country life offers us a calm, quiet, and serene environment that is necessary for thoughts and mental development. Here, the scenic beauty of nature pleases our eyes. Songs of birds and sounds of rivers, haors, and wind please our ears. On the other hand, city life is full of noise and pollution. Village people enjoy the warmth of life. Here, everybody knows one another; they share their goodness and badness, joys and sorrows with one another. They stand next to each other. However, city life is busy. One may live in the midst of thousands of people, but nobody has time to talk to others. Everyone is afraid of sharing his or her personal matter with others. So, alienation, frustration, and emptiness emerge in city life. However, city life is far better than country life as far as civic facilities are concerned. Though the difference between village and city life is being decreased day by day because of technological development, still, better, medical services, better educational institutions, better employment opportunities, better communication, and business facilities are available in cities. Poverty, hunger, diseases, and natural calamities are the common companions of village people. Finally, we can say we want to bring a calm, quiet and serene environment in city life; we want to have better civic facilities in village life because we want both peace and development. We want to move forward with nature and development.
