The pie chart indicates how Bangladesh earns foreign currency from various sources such as RMG, jute, leather, fertilizer, tea, fish, handicraft, agricultural product, and others. Overall, RMG stands first by far in earning foreign currency.
According to the chart, RMG earns 53% of foreign money which is the highest in percentage. The second-highest foreign currency which is much lesser than that of the RMG sector comes from jute. This sector generates 15% of the foreign currency. The leather sector receives the third highest foreign currency which makes up 7% of total export money. Then comes fertilizer which covers 6% of total currency. It is the fourth highest in percentage. Tea, fish, handicraft, and agricultural product belong to fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth position respectively in earning foreign money. They account for 6%, 5%, 4%, 3%, and 3% respectively. Finally, Bangladesh earns 10 % of its total foreign currency from various commodities. They have been termed as 'others' in the chart. Thus, currently, the RMG sector plays the most vital role in earning foreign currency for Bangladesh. Earnings from other sectors are not noticeable except in the leather industry which generates satisfactory money to some extent.
