The chart indicates the total number of students who appeared in the HSC examination this year. Overall the graph portrays a comparative study showing how many boys and girls from science, humanities, and the business group appeared in the examination.
According to the chart, 1200000 boys and 1180000 girls from the science group appeared in the H.S.C. examination. However, the number of girls who attended humanities outnumbers the number of boys from the same group. While the number of boys who attended humanities was only 40000, the number of girls was 65000. Therefore, though the maximum number of students in science was boys, the maximum number of students in humanities is girls. Then comes business studies. The number of boys outnumbers the number of girls in business studies to a great extent. Among 260000 students in business studies, boys were 160000 and girls were only 110000. Thus, among the 603000 students, 310000 were boys and 293000 were girls.
