The graph chart portrays the amount of currency Bangladesh earned and spent in export and import respectively between 2017 and 2022 at a 6-year interval. Overall, the amount of money Bangladesh spent each year on export is higher than the amount Bangladesh earned from export. 
According to the chart, the import of Bangladesh was 37 billion dollars, and the export was 42 billion dollars in 2017. So, while the gap between export and import was 5 billion dollars in 2017, the gap climb up to 6 billion dollars in 2018. This year, Bangladesh spent 45 billion dollars on imports and earned only 39 million dollars from export. The rising trend was also noticed the next year. The import and export gap rose to 7 billion dollars in 2019. The import and export were 49 and 42 billion dollars respectively. However, The gap started declining in the following years. While the import was 47 billion dollars, 46 billion dollars, and 50 billion dollars in 2020, 2021, and 2022 respectively, the export was 43 billion dollars, 44 billion dollars, and 46 billion dollars respectively. The import-export gap was reduced to 4 billion dollars, 2 billion dollars, and 4 billion dollars respectively. Thus, the chart tells that Bangladesh is gradually improving its export sector. However, though Bangladesh became able to reduce the import-export gap to 2 billion dollars in 2021, it rose to 4 billion dollars in 2022.
