Dear John,
The letter I received yesterday from our mother tells that you are not sincere and attentive to your study. I also guess that you have not learned to spend time wisely. Spending your energy oversleeping, playing computer games that will make you physically inactive, mixing with bad company, and doing things aimlessly will ruin your life.
You are the youngest and the apple of our eyes. It is impossible for us to tolerate if you destroy your life yourself. It is also a matter of disgrace for our family.
Student life is the ideal time to invest the seeds of honesty, sincerity, perseverance, and hard work. Hence, I advise you to formulate an aim for your life and start doing everything in relation to the aim. This is how you can best use your time and energy. This is how you can shape your life the way you want to.
If possible, start meeting with some of your classmates who are serious, sincere, and attentive to their studies. This will help you do the same thing; this will help you develop the habit of reading books that will not only help you achieve a better grade but also make you a knowledgeable and wise person. Every successful person has the habit of reading books. I hope that you will develop the habit of buying and collecting books. Besides, I advise you to engage yourself in extracurricular activities like games and sports which will keep you physically and emotionally balanced.
I hope that you will remember my words and start doing the things every successful person does.
Send my best regards to mom and dad and love to our sweet sister Jesica.
Your Elder Brother,
Arup
