our national flag paragraph

A National flag is a pride for a nation because a national flag symbolizes a country's independence and sovereignty. Therefore, every independent country has its own national flag. Our country has also its national flag. To achieve the flag the country had to go through a liberation war that killed almost three million lives. So, we achieved our national flag at the cost of millions of lives. Now, we are always ready to protect its dignity. Our national flag designed by Kamrul Hasan is rectangular in shape. The proportion of the length and width is 5:3. The background color of the flag is green which symbolizes the natural beauty of our nation; the green color also stands for the vigor and power of the evergreen youth that will continue to take our land to a greater height. On the other hand, the red cycle in the middle of the flag stands for the sacrifices our valiant soldiers shew by sacrificing their lives during the liberation war. The red cycle has another symbolic meaning: the glowing sun that gives us energy. All the government or semi-government offices, courts, and educational institutions hoist the flag on the top of their buildings in the morning and retracted it in the evening. During the national holidays, it has to be kept at half-mast. Hoisting any flag on top of our national flag is prohibited; we are also advised not to hoist it at night. As the national flag bears our honor and dignity, we should always be ready to uphold our vigor, power, and sacrifice to preserve the dignity and honor of our flag.
